NHC Aviator Mobility Scooter

Niagara Health Care (NHC) is a UK distributor of high quality mobility scooters, importing scooters from some of the top manufacturers in the world such as Heartway and Freerider. The most recent addition to their range is the Aviator S8 from Heartway.

Heartway have been consistent innovators, creating such scooters as the ever popular Royale and the exciting TGA Vita S12.

As with the rest of the Heartway S range of scooters the looks are more akin to motor scooters than mobility scooters. The Aviator features angular fairings over the tiller and chevrons repeated throught out the design. Like its cousins, the Vita and the Royale, the NHC Aviator S8 is supplied with a luxurious captain’s seat adjustable both for and aft to provide the optimal ride position.

Following Heartways tradition for innovation the Aviator is equipped with double wishbone suspension. This is is a first in the mobility market (the Vita is supplied with widhbone front suspension and single post at the rear) and will to be a major selling point for those who place ride comfort and ride quality above all else.

As with the rest of the Heartway S range the lighting is provided by LEDs. These offer excellent brightness and unparralled energy efficiency - the lights dim automatically when stationary - should be considered as standard for all high spec mobility scooters. As you would expect the headlamp follows the chevron motif of the rest of the design, and is yet another way that Heartway lift this scooter above the competition.

The Aviator is controlled from a wrap around delta tiller that features an LCD display showing speed and battery level as you would expect as well as the time and temperature. The brake is electro mechanical (stopping the motor from turning), and as required by British law it is supplemented by a mechanical hand brake.

The Aviator is a high power scooter and is driven by a 700 watt 4 pole motor fed by dual 12 volt 50 Ah batteries that give it an excellent 28 mile range (mileage may vary according to load and conditions of course).

With a top speed of eight miles per hour and a maximum carrying weight of nearly twenty eight stone the NHC Aviator S8 is a true road worthy mobility scooter. As with the Royale before it the NHC Aviator is a scooter that is destined raise the bar for all scooters that follow it.
